Big Rivers Electric issues rate hike for next year

Customers of Big Rivers Electric Corporation can expect to feel a bigger hit to their wallets next year.

This will affect customers of Jackson Purchase Energy, Kenergy, and Meade County Rural Electric. The good news is that customers won’t feel the effect of the rate increase until next year. Customers will then see their monthly bills increase by about $15 on average. However, the actual size of the increase will vary depending on which of the three cooperatives the customers use.

For more information about the rate increase, you can visit Big Rivers’ website.
