Massac County Standoff Ends

A standoff in Unionville, Illinois ended just after 2:30 Monday morning.

Sheriff’s deputies say it began sometimes between 4:00 and 5:00 Sunday evening. Sheriff’s deputies closed part of Mt. Sheering Road overnight as investigators handled the situation.

An authority at the Sheriff’s Department told Local 6 this morning, “no harm was dealt.”
