COPY-EDUcation – An Educational Summer Vacation in Southern IL

Are you searching for some of the best educational and fun places to take your family this summer? If so, southern Illinois offers a variety of educational destinations.

The Science Center of Southern Illinois offers hands-on exhibits that will get your kids excited about science.  Kids can become a pilot in the flight simulator, learn more about dinosaurs as they walk beside an Allosaurus, and more.

“We offer science edutainment, it’s entertainment that offers education,” says Chris Walls, executive directors at the Science Center of Southern Illinois.

If you prefer to take your edutainment outside, southern Illinois offers a variety of outdoor adventures.

“It gets kids outside in southern Illinois, lets them see what’s around them, and it’s a great introduction for would be scientists, zoologists, or biologists,” says Shirley Krienert.  Krienert and her students enjoy exploring the Woodland Trail at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge.

The Woodland Trail along with many others across southern Illinois will allow your family to add little fun and education to your summer vacation
