Gourmet Minutes: Haricot verts

 Ingredients:

  • 1 # Fresh green beans, stems removed
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup red onions juillene
  • 1 lemon cut in half
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Heat oil in a medium skillet till hot. Add in the green beans. Saute on medium heat till bright green, 1-2 minutes. Add in the onions and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes. Squeeze the juice from the lemon (careful not to lose the seeds). Turn of the heat. Let steam cook for an additional minute. Season to taste, Serve.
