Grand jury to hear case against Ryan Champion

A grand jury in Trigg County, Kentucky will hear on Wednesday the case against Ryan Champion, who is accused of killing his family and another man.

If the jury returns an indictment, WSMV in Nashville reports the preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday will be canceled.

Police charged Champion with four counts of capital murder and one count of capital kidnapping in the deaths of his parents Lindsey and Joy Champion, his sister Emily and Vito Riservato. Their bodies were found at the Champions’ home on Sunday, October 26.

Champion remains in jail on a $5 million bond.
