Whaler’s Catch closes permanently

A post on the restaurant’s Facebook page says Whaler’s Catch has closed permanently.

The owner, John Harris, died Tuesday.  The coroner is investigating his death.  A manager tells Local 6 she was scheduled to work Saturday, but was told an hour before her shift that the restaurant was closed.

Another post on Facebook says there were about 50 employees who worked there.  There is no word on the restaurant’s future, including if the family plans to sell it.
