Warming center opens Friday in Paducah

With winter weather predicted for this weekend, Community Ministries will be opening a warming center Friday evening in Paducah, Ky.

The warming center opens at 5 p.m. at the Community Ministries Kitchen, located at 1225 Broadway. City of Paducah spokeswoman Pam Spencer says the warming center will stay open in the evenings during the cold snap.

In December, Paducah’s Grace Episcopal Church will serve as a warming center on nights where the temperature is forecast to dip below 40 degrees.
