Rollover crash in Livingston County

Eight people were sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after two vehicles crashed on U.S. 60 in Ledbetter.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, a green van was crossing through an intersection when another van coming onto U.S. 60 clipped the green van’s back passenger tire.

“It veered off toward the guardrail, then she over corrected back this way and when she did she went off the roadway and from there she rolled over into the ditch. The vehicle flipped over,”  said Sgt. Irvan Davis.

A small child was trapped in the back of the overturned van. Emergency crews were able to free that child.

We don’t know the condition or injuries of all the people involved, but Sgt. Davis says they were all conscious.

The crash closed down the highway for about two hours.
