Police in Texas kill a gunman who opened fire on several buildings

Police in Austin, TX shot and killed a man who opened fire at several buildings downtown. Police say he might’ve also had explosives. It all happened just before dawn Friday morning.

Assistant Chief Raul Munguia said bullets struck police headquarteres just after someone called 911 to report the shootings. Munguia said that’s when an officer outside headquarters say the suspect and shot him.

The suspect was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Police are not releasing any personal information about the suspect or why he opened fire.

 No one else was injured
