2 southern Illinois teens flown to hospital after early Saturday morning crash

Two people were flown to an Evansville hospital after the car they were in collided with a semi-trailer in southern Illinois.

18 year-old Kyle Eichorn of Golconda, Illinois and another 18 year-old unnamed passenger from Golconda were taken to Deaconess Hospital for their injuries.  Their conditions are unknown.

Illinois State Police troopers say Eichorn was driving southbound on Harco Road just south of Mt. Moriah Road.  Eichorn left the roadway and hit a guardrail.  His care then went into the northbound lane and was hit by a semi.

The driver of the semi was not injured.  Charges could be filed pending an investigation.
