Armed, dangerous man wanted in Sikeston for murder

Sikeston DPS investigates a homicide early Sunday morning.

On November 30th around 3:15am, Sikeston DPS received a call in reference to a subject who was shot in the 800 block of Mary Street. Officers responded and found a 22 year old Sikeston man shot in the chest.  DPS later learned that the subject died from the wound.

The SEMO Major Case Squad was activated and officers began investigating the shooting.  After interviewing several subjects regarding the victim, about the hours leading to his death, it appears this shooting occurred over an ongoing issue between the victim and another subject.

The investigation generated enough evidence and information to obtain a warrant of the alleged offender.  Police are now looking for:

Craig “Pico” Marks (35 of Sikeston).

Scott County Court charged Marks with Murder 1st degree and unlawful possession of a firearm.  He was given a bond of $150,000 cash only for both charges.  Marks’ whereabouts are unknown but is thought to be armed and should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Craig Marks is asked to contact Sikeston DPS at 573-471-4711 or our Crime Stoppers Hot Line at 573-471-1500.  Persons with information leading to the arrest or information leading to the conviction can be eligible for a cash reward.
