Police: Man robbed two stores within hours of each other

Murphysboro, Illinois police officers arrested Adrian Harris for robbing a convenience store Saturday afternoon.

Employees at the Farm Fresh Store on Walnut Street reported a man had walked into the store, demanded money and explained he had a gun.  Officers identified a man matching Harris’s description.  While he was being arrested, police found cash on Harris.  Employees made a positive identification of Harris.

Police later determined Harris also robbed a Huck’s gas station earlier in the day.  He’s in the Jackson County Jail on charges of aggravated battery.  He also had an outstanding warrant from Clay County Illinois for aggravated battery with a weapon.
