Two arrested for string of car burglaries

An 18-year-old and a juvenile were arrested and charged over the weekend for a string of vehicle thefts.

The Murray Police Department says around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning, officers were called to the area of Northwood Drive on reports of vehicle thefts.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Hunter Runch of Murray and a juvenile.

It is believed the two stole from as many as 20 vehicles, taking numerous items.

None of the vehicles were broken into, all were parked with the doors unlocked.

Both Runch and the juvenile were charged with the thefts.

Anyone who lives in the Northwood Drive neighborhood and has property missing from their vehicles is asked to call the Murray Police Department at (270) 753-1621 to identify their property.
