Teenager charged in sex crime out on bail

An 18-year-old charged with assault of a younger teenager is out on bail after having his bond reduced.

Samual Miller’s bond was reduced to $150,000 cash or $300,000 property during a hearing on Monday. Bond was originally set at $1 million.

Police say Miller, along with three others, attacked a 15-year-old boy in October.

Miller is charged with first degree sodomy, promoting a minor in a sexual performance, use of a minor in a sexual performance and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

As part of his bond, Miller must stay with family and wear an ankle monitor.
