Coroner: No foul play in death of woman found dead, naked near home
UPDATE: Coroner Parker says preliminary autopsy results show Sloan did not suffer from any trauma or foul play. He is waiting on toxicology reports before releasing an official cause of death, but said the cold weather could be a contributing factor.
Mississippi County, Missouri Coroner Terry Parker tells Local 6 a woman was found dead outside her home in Wilson City which is just east of Charleston.
Parker identified the woman was 41 year-old Jeannie Sloan from Wilson City. Parker says Sloan was found without her clothes.
An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday. Parker expects a preliminary cause of death after the autopsy.
The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol are investigating.
