Police: Man shot to death while driving car

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety has released the name of the man who was shot in his car Sunday evening.

The shooting closed US 61 North near Smith Street for a couple of hours.

Cpt. James McMillen says a man was shot in his car while sitting in the center turn lane of North Main Street near College Street.

That man has been identified as 31-year-old Christopher Qurvon West of Sikeston.

So far, no arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing.
