Christian County woman stabbed, suspect in custody

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house in Forrest Park this afternoon after reports came in of a female suffering from stab wounds.

Deputies identified the assault victim as 30 year old LaTanjuia M. Love, of Forest Park, who suffered multiple stab and cut wounds, none of which appeared to be life threatening, after her and another female were involved in a physical altercation at 7047 Forest Park Blvd. Love was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for her injuries.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office report they have a suspect in custody, 21 year old Meredith Lisa Settles of Hopkinsville. Settles is charged with attempted murder and will be transported to The Christian County Jail once processed where it is expected she will remain on a $100,000.00 cash bond.
