Paducah Power System hires new General Manager

Paducah Power System has a new General Manager.

On Monday, the Board of Directors voted to hire Gary Zheng as the utility’s new General Manager. He will begin work on February 9th.

According to a news release from PPS, Zheng spent 18 years at Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) in Lubbock Texas. He served as President and CEO from 2005 until July, 2014.

The press release also credits Zheng with turning LP&L around, from a company that was nearly bankrupt to one that has more than $100 million in cash reserves.

Zheng told PPS he is looking forward to starting work as soon as possible.
