Benton, KY man arrested on Probation Violation

A Benton, Kentucky man out on parole was arrested after deputies found guns and drugs in his home.

On Thursday, January 22nd, Marshall County deputies went to the home of 31-year-old William Morris to assist Probation and Parole.

Morris was home at the time and was told that his house would be searched.

Inside they found multiple firearms, boxes of ammunition, a 3.7 gram bag of marijuana, and 3.5 pills of Oxycontin.

Deputies also found a glass pipe with meth residue on it in a pair of Morris’s pants.

Morris was arrested for a Probation Violation and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

He was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
