Teenager arrested for allegedly trying to sell prescription medicine on social media

A Paducah teenager was arrested for allegedly trying to sell prescription cough medicine online.

The Paducah Police Department was told that 19-year-old Mark Stigger had posted a picture of a bottle of Promethazine on his social media page and was offering to sell it for $60.

A detective talked with the prescribing pharmacy, which said the medicine had been delivered to its rightful recipient – a relative of Stigger’s.

The relative told the detective she noticed the medicine was missing after Stigger visited her.

Stigger was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the McCracken County Jail. He is charged with Trafficking in a Legend Drug.
