Police officer involved in wreck

An Energy Police squad car and another vehicle were involved in a wreck.

It happened near the intersection of 23rd Street and Herrin Street.

The Energy Police Department say a truck turned in front of the squad car.

Illinois State Police handled the wreck.

The driver of the truck was issued two tickets, Failure to Yield and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

The Energy officer had minor injuries.
