Man arrested for allegedly stealing from his grandmother

A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing from his grandmother.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says on Tuesday a women reported that someone entered her home and stole several items.

The woman told a deputy that electronic items and jewelry had been taken.

While detectives were investigating the woman mentioned that it was possible that her grandson, Cameron Snelling, may have stolen the items.

Deputies went to Snelling’s home in the 5000 block of Husbands Road.

When they arrived, Snelling tried to run away, but was caught after a short pursuit.

Deputies were able to recover all of the stolen items.

Snelling was charged with Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Fleeing and Evading, and Contempt of Court.
