There are many ways to parent, but is there a right way?

We talked to four local moms, who all say they know the pain of Mom Shaming. That’s when moms judge other moms for the parenting choices they make. Those choices may be decisions on breastfeeding, vaccinations, discipline, snacks, or the stay at home vs. working moms debate.

Lisa Summers, a therapist at Four Rivers Behavioral Health in Paducah and a mom to five, says most mothers have experienced it at one point or another. She told us “It’s just an advanced form of bullying.”

Thursday night on Local 6 at 10, we explore why Mom Shaming happens, and how moms can support each other to end this judgmental trend.
