Carbondale man sentenced to prison for home burglary

A Carbondale man was sentenced to prison for a home burglary on Tuesday.

According to Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr, 42-year-old Terrance Godfrey pleaded guilty to the charges.

The burglary happened in the 300 block of East Hester Street in Carbondale.

The victim, who was not home at the time of the burglary, said that electronics were stolen from the home.

Officers later found some of the victim’s property inside Godfrey’s home.

Godfrey will serve 10 years in prison.
