Man charged with stealing items, selling them as scrap metal

A Mississippi County man has been charged for allegedly stealing various items from a farm.

According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, the investigation began last month when a local business reported that items were stolen from their property.

34-year-old Kevin Wayne Jones of East Prairie is suspected of stealing the items and selling them as scrap metal.

Jones was arrested and charged with two counts of Receiving Stolen Property valued at more than $500.

He was released from the Mississippi County Detention Center after posting a $25,000 surety bond.
