Man injured in overnight fire

A man was injured in a house fire in Ledbetter, Kentucky.

A family friend tells Local 6 that the man, his parents, and four dogs were inside when the fire started Thursday night.

The friend says the family got out safely but the man went back inside to save the dogs.

The man saved three of them but suffered extensive burns to his face and hands.

He is being treated at the Vanderbilt Medical Center.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
