Pork Peddler serves breakfast on these cold, frigid days

While it is a little warmer outside, we are not done with winter just yet.  Our own Mychaela Bruner shows us how to beat the chill on this cold day.

If you have been outside, you know how cold it is, but we are ending this week a lot better than what we started – inside with a cup of hot coffee.

The Pork Peddler in Paducah is serving up whatever you would like on this cold, frigid day.  Owner Pat Herring said they just started serving breakfast a few weeks ago.

“I’ve been here 42 years, but in the restaurant business for 20 years, I’m very blessed with good customers,” said Herring.

Server Kathy Williams has worked here for about five years.

“Everyday it picks up a little more,” said Williams.

She said even when it is really busy, it is a good feeling serving those who come in to get relief from the cold.

“I set up for the morning breakfast, make coffee, tea, it’s not that hectic, until they get here,” said Williams.

If you have to head out, make sure you are prepared for the bitterly cold temperatures.

Another reminder, if you need a place to get out of the cold, warming shelters are open. Click here for a list of warming centers open in the Local 6 area.
