Woman hits snow mound trying to avoid crash with car

A woman was sent to the hospital after the minivan she was driving hit a snow mound.

McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to US 62 just west of Fuller Street for a single vehicle accident.

The driver said she was traveling westbound on US 62 and that there was a blue car traveling in the left lane beside her.

She says the car started to crowd her and that she veered to the right to avoid a crash. When she moved over, she hit a snow mound and ripped the right front wheel from her minivan.

The minivan then spun out and hit a snow mound on the left side of the road.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
