Asian carp processing facility opening up in western Kentucky

New jobs are coming to Tri City, Kentucky.

Governor Steve Beshear announced on Tuesday that Blue Shore Fishery LLC is locating a Asian carp processing facility in the western Kentucky city.

The new facility will create 66 full-time jobs.

The company will catch Asian carp and process it in the former catfish processing plant off of State Route 97.

The plant is expected to be in full production sometime in spring.
