Police chief resigns

An Illinois police chief has resigned after being charged with intimidation, official misconduct, battery, and aggravated assault.

Orient Police Chief Joe Brown stepped down after two separate incidents at the American Legion Post and Elsie’s Tavern. 

He has posted bond and is out of jail.

A hearing has also been set.
