Four vehicle accident kills one

A Paducah man has died of injuries he suffered in a four-vehicle crash on the Beltline Overpass on Monday.

The Paducah Police Department says 41-year-old Jose Posadas passed away late Monday evening at a Nashville hospital.

Witnesses and other drivers told police that Posadas was driving west on the Beltline overpass and was weaving over the centerline when his van side-swiped an oncoming Jeep Wrangler.

A pick-up truck swerved to avoid Posadas’ van but was hit and veered into the path of a SUV. The pick-up truck hit the SUV and came to rest on top of it.

Posadas had to be extricated from his van. Two other drivers were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The fourth driver was not reported injured.
