Inmate stabs another inmate at Kentucky State Penitentiary

An inmate at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville stabbed another inmate late Tuesday afternoon.

The Kentucky Department of Corrections says 22-year-old Michael Brown was in the prison yard when he was stabbed by 36-year-old Terry King.

Brown was given immediate medical attention and then transported to Baptist Hospital.

King was placed in segregation at the prison.

Brown is serving a five year sentence for Sexual Abuse.

King is serving a 40 year sentence for Sodomy, Sexual Abuse, and other charges.

Kentucky State Police are investigating. Criminal charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
