Paducah Main Street gets accreditation

Paducah is back on a statewide list as a Kentucky Main Street.

Last year Paducah’s Main Street project was bumped from nationally certified to an affiliate.

City leaders have been working to bring in more tourists to downtown Paducah, like starting the “A Dickens of a Christmas” program and improving the city’s farmer’s market.

They say that work has helped the Paducah Main Street project gain enough points for accreditation through the Kentucky Heritage Council.
