Baby found in bathtub dies

Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Byars confirms a six-month-old baby boy taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital in critical condition a little more than a week ago has died.

The baby’s father, John Mikulich, was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment in connection with this incident. It happened in Hardin where deputies found the baby in a bath tub.

Byars says an autopsy will be performed on the child on Thursday. Mikulich may face more charges pending the results of the autopsy. Mikulich is scheduled to be in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing based on the original charges.
