Two injured in crash involving pickup truck and semi

Two people were injured after a semi hit a pickup truck in Hopkins County.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday a pickup truck pulling a trailer was broken down along the Edwards Breathitt Parkway near the 40 mile marker.

Deputies say a semi hit the trailer, the truck, and approximately 200 feet of guard rail before coming to a stop.

The driver of the truck and his passenger were injured in the crash. They were taken to a local hospital.
