Carbondale man sentenced to prison for armed robbery

A Carbondale, Illinois man was sentenced to 26 years in prison for robbing two Carbondale residents.

20-year-old Jordan Hale pleaded guilty to Armed Robbery on Thursday.

Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr says on December 29, 2014, Hale along with an accomplice entered the home of two sisters living at the Georgetown Apartments on East Grand Street in Carbondale.

Hale was armed with a handgun and kicked the door to get inside.

Carr says Hale and his accomplice demanded money from the sisters and ransacked the apartment looking for items. The accomplice took several items before leaving.

As Hale left the apartment, he fired off several warning shots in the area.
