Illinois governor to speak at local college graduation

Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner will speak at one of SIU Carbondale’s graduation ceremonies this year.

SIU spokeswoman Rae Goldsmith says Rauner will address graduates of the College of Business and College of Education and Human Services in May.

The governor is proposing a 32% cut to higher education funding.
