Crews to inspect Cumberland Bridge this week

There will be both lane and load width restrictions on the Cumberland River Bridge this week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it needs to restrict traffic to one lane and put in a 10 feet maximum load width restriction so that crews can inspect the bridge.

The inspection is expected to last Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day.

Flaggers will be out controlling the flow the traffic.

Any vehicle with a load in excess of 10 feet attempting to cross the bridge will be issued a citation.
