Missing 16-year-old found

UPDATE: Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick said 16-year-old Niekah Torres has been found after the Herrin Police Department received information from a member of the public. Vick said he’d like to thank all the folks who helped to find the girl. 

A Herrin, Illinois, teenager was reported as a runaway Sunday evening, according to Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick. Vick asks the public for help finding 16 year old Niekah Torres. 

The sheriff’s department says Torres left home after an argument with her mother, and is believed to be in the Herrin or Marion area. The teen has been entered into the Illinois and national databases as a runaway juvenile.
