The quilters are coming

AQS QuiltWeek officially begins on Wednesday, but Paducah’s biggest tourist attraction is already underway as a group of experts spent the past weekend judging submission for this year’s competition.

The Quilt Walk lets the judges see the quilts in the running for this year’s best in show from different distances and perspectives. They’ll finish the judging Monday, April 20. And, the American Quilter’s society lists some pre-QuiltWeek events for Tuesday on its QuiltWeek Paducah schedule

Local 6 has also created a web page for all things QuiltWeek, including the 2015 map and a schedule, which you can view by clicking here.

Quilt show Executive Director Bonnie Browning says Paducah is prepared to host people from all 50 states and 15 countries and, based on registration, she’s predicting another record-breaking year for the show. AQS QuiltWeek runs through Saturday.
