Kentucky smokers wanting to quit may be eligible for free medication
FRANKFORT, Ky —
Kentucky smokers wanting to quit may be able to get free help.
Quit Now Kentucky will be offering a free starter supply of nicotine replacement therapy medication to those who qualify while supplies last.
Nicotine replacement therapy medications help wean tobacco users from the cravings of the nicotine in cigarettes.
Those wanting to take part must enroll in a cessation program with a trained coach and be medically eligible to receive the free medication.
Adults and teenagers as young as 15 can apply.
Enrollment begins April 27th and runs through May 10th. To sign up for the program call 1-800-QuitNow (1-800-784-8669).
