Section of road in Hopkins County closed for drainage work

About a mile and a half of road will be closed to traffic in Hopkins County through Thursday afternoon.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says KY 2280, also known as Schmetzer Crossing Road, needs to be closed from Rose Creek Road to the railroad crossing.

Crews will be working on replacing a cross drain and doing other extensive drainage work.

The road will be closed until about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Local access will be maintained for property owners.
