Local four-year-old injured in shooting incident

A four-year-old boy is in stable condition after being shot in the leg just before 1:00 Saturday morning. Dunklin County Communications got a call saying the child was injured and being taken to Twin Rivers Regional Hospital in a private vehicle.

The shooting happened at a home on Highway C in the South part of Dunklin County, Missouri. The boy was treated by Twin Rivers medical staff and then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Memphis.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office.
