Part of I-24W shut down

UPDATE:

The crash site is cleared, but traffic is still moving slowly through the area. Drivers should use alternate routes if they can, or allow extra time for their commute.

Interstate 24 westbound is partially shut down at the 3.5 mile marker.  Paducah Police tell us that five cars crashed in that area.  Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says traffic is now being diverted off of Exit 7.  The shutdown is expected to be in place for at least an hour.
