Ambulance hit by SUV

A woman was injured after her SUV hit an ambulance.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says a Murray Calloway County Hospital ambulance was traveling southbound on Murray Paris Road with its emergency lights and sirens activated when it came up behind a SUV.

Naomi Watson, the driver of the SUV, told deputies she saw the ambulance behind her and slowed down, but there was no shoulder to pull over onto. She said she then attempted to turn left into a driveway and hit the passenger side of the ambulance.

Watson was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The driver and passenger of the ambulance were not injured.
