A Benton, Kentucky Middle School student is accused of threatening to put a bomb in the principal’s office.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department says the student made the threat in front of several classmates.

The students then reported him to the principal.

A follow-up search of the student’s property turned up a cell phone with a battery attached to it, but they determined it was not an explosive device.
