Man charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment in Calloway County
A man was arrested Monday after allegedly assaulting a woman in her apartment in Murray, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says.
At 12:05 a.m. Monday Sheriff’s Deputy Corey Keene and units from the Murray Police Department, responded to a report of a woman screaming for help at Cardinal Point Apartments No. 2 in Murray. The law enforcement members found a woman, Aimee Younger, there with blood on her head.
Younger told Keene a man named Khalid Ahmed, who she met online a week before, hit her in the head multiple times with a set of keys. Younger said she locked herself in the bathroom to get away from him.
Then, the sheriff’s office says, Ahmed went into the kitchen, got a knife, and told Younger he would kill her. Younger sprayed hairspray in his face to get away from him and ran to a neighbor’s house. Younger was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Ahmed was charged with first degree assault, first degree unlawful imprisonment, first degree wanton endangerment, third degree terroristic threatening and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Calloway County Detention Center
