Police investigating infant death
The death of an infant girl that happened early Wednesday in Marion is under investigation, the Marion Police Department says.
Police responded to a report of an unresponsive 10-month-old girl at 5:03 a.m. Wednesday morning, and the baby was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was pronounced dead a short while later, police say. The cause of the death of the child, who was in foster care, hasn’t been determined.
