Brayden K. Gibson found safe, mother arrested
UPDATE: Brayden Gibson and his mother were located Saturday. He was safely returned to his father. Alexis Hibbs was arrested on a charge of custodial interference.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing child, 5-year-old Brayden K. Gibson.
Brayden’s father, Austin Gibson, reported him missing to the sheriff’s office around 8:44 a.m. Friday. Gibson told law enforcement that Brayden had been with his mother, Alexis Hibbs, and/or his grandmother, Marsha Hibbs.
Gibson said the mother failed to return Brayden to him, in accordance with a court order. Neither Alexis Hibbs nor Brayden have been found, and there is an arrest warrant for Alexis Hibbs for custodial interference.
The sheriff’s office says Alexis and Marsha Hibbs could be driving an early model 2000 silver Chevrolet Impala.
If you have information on the whereabouts of Alexis Hibbs or Brayden Gibson, you can call Sgt. LyDon Logan or Detective Jonathan Barnes the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office at 270-821-5661.
