Child death under investigation

The death of a 19-month-old child that happened on Allen Road, west of Herrin, Illinois, is under investigation, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

A preliminary investigation indicates the child, Kamden Feezor, was accidentally backed over, the sheriff’s office says, by a car driven by the child’s grandparent. 

Williamson County Coroner Michael “Junior” Burke said the incident happened around 11:40 a.m. Tuesday at the family’s home in rural Carterville. Burke pronounced the boy dead at 12:10 p.m. at Herrin Hospital.

The sheriff’s office and the coroner are investigating the incident.
